HORICON | Tom Malesevich, president of Sure-Fire Inc., Dodge County’s largest HVAC contractor, in business since 1947, has announced the merger with electrical contractor Neitzel Electric Inc. of Horicon.

Both Sure-Fire and Neitzel Electric are family-owned companies based in Horicon and have a long history of involvement in the community. The acquisition is part of a plan for growth between the two companies in order to provide increased customer responsiveness and more innovative solutions to technical challenges.

“We are excited to announce this addition to our company, giving us almost 90-years combined experience providing the area with quality HVAC, mechanical, and electrical services. This is going to make us stronger and quicker, giving our customers even more value than what they are already accustomed to,” said Malesevich.

“Our companies have many similarities: both are privately held, family-owned and operated businesses with strong community involvement,” said Mark Neitzel, owner of Neitzel Electric. “I am proud the electrical business my father created in 1963 will strengthen and compliment Sure-Fire’s already strong electrical department. This is the result of long-term planning to ensure the future well-being of our employees and customers. Our businesses have had a long-term relationship, and Sure-Fire has been a partner in every sense of the word.”

Sure-Fire and Neitzel will continue to operate from Sure-Fire’s facility at 617 Washington St. in Horicon.

“Our staff is looking forward to the addition of Neitzel’s experience. We have been involved in joint venture projects for the last 18‐months, allowing the process to remain positive and less cumbersome,” said Malesevich.
