Columbus Middle School will host a salute to Veterans on Monday, Nov. 13.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. This year’s Veteran’s Day program will begin with an introduction of the flag, color guard presentation and the Pledge of Allegiance led by CMS student council officers.

Principal Loren Glasbrenner will present a short welcome speech, followed by a rendition of “The Flag We Love,” by Pam Munoz Ryan read by student council members.

This year’s guest speaker will be Sgt. Christopher Henning. The seventh and eighth grade band will sing “America, the Beautiful.” Jerry Galston will introduce Veterans at the program, followed by a color guard ceremony led by a local honor guard.

The ceremony will conclude with a three-volley salute and a moment of silence. All local Veterans are welcome to attend this year’s Columbus program.
