The Volunteers of Columbus Community Hospital are accepting donations in honor of the 33rd Annual Lights of Love.

Each year, the Lights of Love allows community members to remember those they have lost or to show appreciation for family and friends through the purchase of a light in their memory or honor. White lights represent those being remembered and colored lights represent those being honored. Blue lights honor members of the United States Military, or a loved one living overseas.

Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase equipment for the CCH Lifeline program, a home emergency response system used by residents in the hospital’s service area. Lifeline enables elderly, handicapped or medically-fragile persons to live independently, while assuring them that if they need help quickly, it will be available to them at the press of a button. The service is available to those with traditional landline phone service and cellular or wireless service. A GPS system is also available. If you would like to contribute to this year’s Lights of Love, donation forms are available at the hospital’s main registration desk, the volunteer Gift Shoppe, or by email at

Mail donations to Lights of Love, c/o Columbus Community Hospital, 1515 Park Ave., Columbus, WI 53925. A minimum gift of $5 per light per person is appreciated. Checks should be made payable to the Lights of Love. Names of those honored and remembered will be displayed at the Lights of Love ceremony Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the hospital’s main entrance and printed in the spring issue of the Foundation Focus. All are welcome to attend the tree lighting ceremony. For more information about the Volunteers of CCH Lights of Love, call 920-623-1280.
