The Columbus High School Marching Cardinals will offer the community a peek at their 2017 show at a special debut performance on Thursday, Aug. 31, beginning with an ice cream social in the high school cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. At about 7:15 p.m., everyone will be asked to make their way out to the football field, where director Tim Meinholz, assistant director Jacob Hammer and visual director Cortney Hammer will give a short presentation about what the band has been doing over the summer, what the process is to get a show ready for competition and what the concept of this year's show is. The event will end with the band performing the show and should wrap up by 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
