Change is always around us, but right now it seems like there are so many changes. It used to be that we had to dial a phone to make a call to someone, but now all we have to do is to push one button. It used to be that we had to look at a map to get directions to go somewhere, but now we have a GPS that gives us the instructions. Rather than going to a store to make a purchase, many of us do it on the internet, and our purchase is delivered at our front door. Yes, there are changes everywhere.

Now we are experiencing some changes in our community. We already have a number of new pastors in some of our churches. In the near future, there will be some more new pastors. Changes can be difficult.

There is one thing that never changes, and that is God. God has been there from the beginning and will be with us until the end. God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. The writer of Hebrews tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. What good news this is. While the world around us is changing, it is good to know that God never changes. God is there for us at all times and in all places. That is the one thing upon which we can depend.
