An early turnover led to a 6-0 hole for the Fall River prep football team last Friday night against Wayland.

It was just what the Pirates needed to snap out of the lackadaisical effort they showing to beat the Big Red 52-14.

“Wayland came out ready to play, we started slow,” Fall River head coach Joe Zander said. “I’m just glad we woke up after the first quarter.”

Luke Figol led the way at quarterback going 5-of-14 passing for 74 yards and a touchdown. He also ran the ball five times for 68 yards and three touchdowns for the Pirates.

Fall River faced Randolph Friday in a Week 5 match-up.
