The Mauston Room Tax Committee wants to nab

whoever took four Pumpkin Bash signs and they're backing the wish with a $1,000 reward.

"We're now angry," said committee Chairwoman Cynthia Makowan. "We've been real low key, but we've been kicked around for nine months and now we've had it."

Makowan's comments came at an emergency meeting of the committee called Monday to deal with the loss of four of the five banners, which were erected to help visitors to the fourth Original Mauston Pumpkin Bash next weekend locate the festivities.

Makowan said the banners were erected last Saturday. Committee members believe the banners were stolen late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
