Juneau County's undersheriff told the committee investigating alleged wrongdoing by sheriff's Lieutenant Jeremy Haske Tuesday that he believes it was Haske himself who destroyed a key piece of possible evidence — a compact disc recording.

"It's my opinion, yes" Stuchlik said under questioning by Michele Ford, attorney for Sheriff Brent Oleson.

At issue was a compact disc [CD] recording of an interview between Haske and Lisa Lutz, the department's 911 supervisor, made in April 2007 after Haske alleged he witnessed former Undersheriff John Weger sexually harass or assault Lutz.
