Edith L. See, 91, of Trinity Village (Friendship Village)
Edith L. See, 91, of Trinity Village (Friendship Village), passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2008. Edith was born in Chicago, Ill. and grew up in rural New Lisbon.
She graduated from New Lisbon High School, Juneau County Normal, Milwaukee State Teachers College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Edith taught six years at Pleasant Knoll School in the Town of Cedarberg and 38 years in elementary schools in South Milwaukee. She moved to Friendship Village in Milwaukee in 1989 and spent winters in Mesa, Ariz. since 1983.
Edith is survived by nieces, Kathryn (Ronald) Zimm and Marilyn (Tim) Blackman; nephews, Warren (Darlene) Peckham, Ronald (Bethel) Peckham, Milfred (Marge) Peckham, Jim (Marian) See, LaVerne (Marge) Harrison, David (Patricia) Harrison, and Charles (Patricia) Porter; many great and grand-nieces and nephews; and a throng of good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert J. and Louise (Warren) See; brother, Herbert (Rachel) See; sisters, Ethel (Herbert) Porter, Mildred (Russell) Peckham, and Ruth (Dean) Harrison; nephew, Howard Peckham; and nieces, Beverly Harrison and Mildred Perry.
A memorial service was held on Monday, Oct. 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Village Chapel, 7300 W. Dean Road, Friendship Village, Milwaukee. Private interment will be at Hustler Cemetery.
