Dorothy Marie Mauer

Dorothy Marie Mauer, 79, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away Nov. 10, 2008, at her home. She was born May 9, 1929, in Mauston to George Falendin Seebecker and Sylvia Ida Catherine Fritz Seebecker. She attended Country Grade School and graduated from Mauston High School.

She married Robert Elmer Mauer on Nov. 25, 1950, in Mauston. They made their home on a dairy farm until moving to Idaho Falls in June of 1958. Robert preceded her in death on June 28, 2001.

She was active in the 4-H Club, Homemakers Club, and church circle. She enjoyed camping, fishing, working with flowers, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by daughter, Virginia "Ginny" (Bill) Edwards of Idaho Falls; sons, Arthur Mauer of Idaho Falls and Edward (Lora) Mauer of Idaho Falls; brother, Harold (Janice) Seebecker of Mauston; sister, Vera (Bill) Miller of Mauston; sister-in-law, Betty Seebecker of Mauston; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and older brother, Robert Seebecker.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery.
