Robert M. Strack
Robert M. Strack, 75, of Paris, Ill., and formerly of New Orleans, La., passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Ill. Mr. Strack was born Jan. 10, 1933 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Milton and Ester (Klevene) Strack.
He was an accountant for the railroad, as well as a chemical plant in New Orleans, La., and an aircraft parts company. Mr. Strack was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Paris, Ill., serving the church as their Treasurer.
He married Barbara (Lawrason) Strack in 2002 in Harvey, La.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Harvey, La.; son, Jerold (Patricia) Strack of Guatemala; four step-children, Mary (Joseph) Ledet of Marrero, La., Theodore (Rene) Mangano, Jr. of Hammond, La., Katherine (Earl) Kilbride of Sun City, Texas, and Christopher Bayhi of Gun Barrel City, Texas; several step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; and a sister.
Following cremation, funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in Grace Lutheran Church in Paris, Ill. with Pastor Ryan Fehrmann officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
