Marian Ziel

Marian Ziel, 68, of Oregon, and formerly of Adams, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2008. She was born on Nov. 20, 1939, to Joseph and Josephine (Gelzinis) Bieksis in Pennsylvania. Marian was united in marriage to Walter Ziel on Oct. 1, 1965, in Bloomington, Ill.

She is survived by 12 children; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, 10 a.m. at the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Chapel in Necedah. Father David Sansone officiated. Burial followed in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Mediatrix of Peace Cemetery, Necedah. Family and friends were invited for visitation on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Torkelson Necedah Family Funeral Home.

Family and friends were also invited for visitation on Monday from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the funeral home. The Torkelson Necedah Family Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Marian to your local animal shelter.
