Richard J. Kuntz

Richard J. Kuntz, 75, of Necedah, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at the Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born on Oct. 16, 1933, in Chicago, Ill. to Joseph and Julia (Brosky) Kuntz.

He served in the United States Army in the Korean War.

Richard was united in marriage to Irene Kariya on Feb. 13, 1956, in Grand Junction, Colo. He dairy farmed for 46 years near Necedah.

In his spare time, he enjoyed doing puzzles - the bigger the better. He was an avid Bears and Cubs fan, and enjoyed watching Jeopardy, CNN and Fox News. Richard also liked to play Black Jack.

In his later years, he drove school bus in the Necedah area.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; sons, Dan Kuntz of Necedah, Donald (Katie Rowly) Kuntz of Cutler, Dean (Anne) Kuntz of Germantown and Frank Kuntz of Necedah; daughters, Diane (Ron) Herndon of Rochester, Minn., Debbie (James) Sauter and Vickee (Gary) Rose all of Necedah; sister, Ruth Donahue of West Plains, Mo.; grandchildren, Ava Kuntz and Joseph Sauter; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julia.
