Verena M. Pfaff
Verena M. Pfaff, 74, of Hillsboro, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008, at the St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born on July 16, 1934, to George and Catherine (Zant) Woelfl in Mauston, where she grew to adulthood and graduated from the Mauston Madonna High School.
Verena was united in marriage to Glen Pfaff on Oct. 18, 1952, in La Valle. They lived in the Township of Summit for many years prior to moving to the Hillsboro area in 1973. Verena worked for Garment Factories in Hillsboro and Ontario and also at the Hillsboro Bakery. She was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.
Survivors include her husband, Glen of Hillsboro; children, Richard Pfaff (Barb) of Mauston, Darlene (Rick) Kisner of New Bern, N.C., Robert (Ruth) Pfaff of Mauston, Ralph Pfaff (Pam) of Mauston, Barbara (Terry) Revels of Hillsboro, Sandra (Dale) Rabine of Baraboo, Charles (Kathy) Pfaff of Osseo, and Debra (Bob) Grutt of Menominee; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; significant others; sister, Mary Ann (Bernard) Resch of Mauston; and sisters-in-law, Loretta Christian of Reedsburg and Evelyn Monskey of Hillpoint.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Lauretta Woelfl.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, with Reverend Conrad Prell officiating. Burial will be in the Lindina Evergreen Cemetery, rural Mauston.
