Berneice Dombek
Berneice Dombek, 84, of Lyndon Station, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston. Berneice was born July 14, 1924, in Mauston, the daughter of Matt and Anna (Warme) Riddlestine. She grew up in rural Mauston in Seven Mile Creek Township.
In May of 1947 she married George Dombek in Mauston.
He preceded her in death in October of 2004. She was a member of the Maurice C. Havey V.F.W. Post 5970 Auxiliary of Lyndon Station, the Lyndon Station Village Fire Department Auxiliary and the St. Mary's Catholic Church Ladies Sodality.
Berneice is survived by son, Jerome (Cheryl) Dombek of Hibbing, Minn.; daughters, Barbara (Ronald) Steponkus of Edgerton, and Jeanne Dombek of Beloit; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Betty) Riddlestine of Mauston; and sisters, Ruth Clark of Mauston, Elaine (Jerry) Kotek of Friendship, and Delores (Mike) Fitzgerald of Rockton, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Mathew and Leo; sisters, Irene Kelley, Loretta Griffa, Marie Donovan and Margaret Quinn; and grandson, Douglas Dombek.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station with Father Valentine Joseph celebrating.
Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station on Friday from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and then proceed to the church.
The Conway-Picha Funeral Home and Crematory of Lyndon Station assisted the family with arrangements.
