Marie Olson

Marie O. Olson, 84 of Elroy, Wis., passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Elroy. Marie was born in Mauston the daughter of Frank and Helena (Voigt) Schwedrsky on July 28, 1925.

Marie worked at Carpenter's Supper Club as their cook and later at the Senior Center.

She is survived by her children, Jean (Greg) Sparks of Onalaska, Don (Joyce) Olson of Elroy, Ron (Vicki) Olson of Wonewoc, Joann Sukkert of Milwaukee and Gary Olson of Cable; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine Duckworth of Mauston and Elaine Campos of Yuba City, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; grandson, Luke; and brother, William "Bud" Schwedrsky.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mauston. Burial will be at the Plymouth Cemetery. Friends called on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Crandall Funeral Home, Mauston and on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
