Mauston police have leads in the robbery of the Phillips Clinic Pharmacy.
"Items of evidence were taken yesterday [Monday] to the state crime lab for processing," Lieutenant Mike Jackson said Tuesday.
Jackson declined to specify what evidence was found or what drugs were taken.
But Jackson confirmed that prescription drugs were taken. "It's being investigated as a criminal act," he said.
Phillips Clinic Pharmacy is located inside Mile Bluff Clinic at 1040 Division St.
Jackson said the robbery
was discovered at about 6 a.m. Friday and likely happened after the pharmacy closed Thursday.
According to information from the Mile Bluff Web site, the pharmacy closes at 5 p.m. and reopens at 8:30 a.m. weekdays.
Jackson declined to provide other details or information regarding any possible suspects.
Many prescription drugs, both narcotic and non-narcotic, are regulated as controlled substances and are illegal to possess or use by anyone not prescribed the drugs by a doctor.
