Raymond C. "Boomer" Owen, 39, of Camp Douglas, Wis., died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis. Raymond was the son of Raymond Curtis Owen and Charlotte Jean Henricks, born Aug. 22, 1971, in Tomah.
Raymond lived most of his life in Camp Douglas and also in Porterville, Calif. with his parents. Raymond enjoyed playing euchre and Texas hold 'em. He also enjoyed playing bingo with his grandma Carla, hunting, fishing and playing horseshoes.
He is survived by his daughters, Brittney Owen of Camp Douglas and Kiara Kiesow (and her daughter, Kayleah) of San Diego, Calif.; mother, Charlotte (Terry) Trick of Baytown, Texas; brother, David and his children, Daniel, Derrick and Nicholas Mendes of Visalia, Calif.; sister, Carla and her children, Angela Devito (and her son Marquis), Taylor Johnson, Erykah and Dalton McNew; sister, Chanti and her children, Jerikka and Kaleb Moseley; brother, Michael (Amanda) and his children, Makayla, Aiden and Brayden of Sun Prairie, Wis.; grandmother, Carla Henricks; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; grandfather, Howard Henricks; great-grandparents, Frank and Hazel Henricks and Carl and Lula Battin; aunts; uncles; cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon with Reverend Jeff Fairchild officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the Hare Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
