George A. Robinson, 82, of Necedah, Wis., died March 8, 2010, at Moundview Hospital in Adams. He was born to Ivan and Catherine (Garrity) Robinson in Hillsboro.
He ran and operated Midwest
Auto Sales in South Beloit, Ill. for many years before moving to the Necedah area. George was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time camping, fishing and hunting. He was united in marriage to Hazel Wood. George met Darlene Pickett Feb. 18, 1960 and they have been life partners ever since.
He is survived by his companion of over 50 years, Darlene; children, Father Monty Robinson of Belmont, David Robinson and Danny Robinson, both of Beloit, Sharon (Gregg) Cardone of Green Bay, Patricia Heineman of Sparta, Channy (Susan) Pickett of Tomah, Rodney (Dawn) Robinson of Warrens, Roger (Marion) Robinson of Beloit, Eric Pickett of Rock Springs and Curtis Pickett of Rockford, Ill.; “adopted child,” Teara (Eric) Faulkner of Necedah; 38 grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donnie (June) Robinson of Rockford, Ill.; sister, Judy (Harry) Morris of Friendship; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Faith; son-in-law, Dennis Heineman; brother, Bernard Robinson; and two infant brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, March 12, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Mauston. Father Eric Berns officiated.
Burial was in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Elroy. Relatives and friends were invited to call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
