The New Lisbon boys basketball team will look to win their second Regional title in the past three seasons today as they advanced with wins over Coulee Region Christian and Alma Center-Lincoln.
New Lisbon faced Coulee Region Christian on Tuesday night and were able to open a 15-4 lead after the first quarter and led 49-26 with just over a minute left before holding on for a 49-37 win.
Chad Wyss led the way with a game-high 19 points. John McCann added 12 and Tyler Peterson finished with nine.
On Thursday night, the Rockets hosted the Alma Center-Lincoln Hornets looking to advance to their second Regional Final in the past three seasons.
The Rockets led 30-20 at halftime and continued to pull away winning 59-42.
McCann led the Rockets with a game-high 30 points. Ryan Jensen added 12 for New Lisbon.
New Lisbon will head to Pittsville High School today to face the third seeded Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates (13-9).
Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. The winner will face the winner of McDonell Central (15-9) and Plum City (8-14) on Friday March 12 at Osseo-Fairchild.
