The Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells PeeWee ‘B’ Hockey Team came home with the ultimate prize.

Mauston natives, Mallory Ruland and Jonny Mata took part in the teams 2-0 victory over Lakeland 2-0 to take RWD’s first state title as a co-op in Waupaca, Wisconsin March 12.

It is the first state title for the Reedsburg Youth Hockey since 2005 and the Dells/Delton Youth Hockey since 2004.

RWD played their first round game against Waupun, March 11 and won 3-1 with the first two goals scored by Caden Brandt, and the third by Ruland, with an assist from Carstyn Cook. Later that afternoon, the team beat Black River Falls 6-2 to advance to the championship round.
