CAMBRIA -- Marilyn Gorsuch, 61, of Cambria, died unexpectedly at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital in Beaver Dam on Thursday, April 10, 2014.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Cambria. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Kristin Frederich officiating. A dinner will be served following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Marilyn was born on April 9, 1953, the daughter of John and Alma (Minnema) Koopmans. She was a 1971 graduate of Cambria-Friesland High School and was united in marriage to Dennis Gorsuch on Oct. 21, 1972. For the past 16 years, Marilyn was employed with Columbia County Health Care Center in Wyocena. Marilyn enjoyed working in her flower gardens, reading and loved the opportunity of skydiving at the age of 60. She cherished every moment spent cooking with her grandchildren, watching them grow, the Sunday night suppers and their family vacations. Marilyn was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cambria.
Marilyn will be sadly missed and deeply mourned by her husband, Dennis Gorsuch; her children, Trisha (Luis Rodriguez) Gorsuch, Travis (Amanda) Gorsuch and Tabitha (Elvis) Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Colin, Breann, Andrew, Amadeo, Gisella, Mason, Izabell, Frankie, Samantha and Declyn; her brothers and sisters, Joleen (Jerry) Stadler, Shirley (Jim) Krueger, John (Amy) Koopmans, Kathy (Gerald) Nickerson and Dale (Deb) Koopmans; two brothers-in-law, Wes Greenfield and Austin Buentello; many nieces, nephews, several other relatives and an abundance of friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Janice Greenfield and Beverly Buentello; and two nephews, Steven Stadler and Russell Koopmans.
