TRACK AND FIELD: Steele sets R-CF record, Standiford wins 3 events at Deerfield Classic

Randolph-Cambria Friesland's Jeff Steele set a program record in the 110-meter high hurdles and Pardeeville's Jake Standiford won three individual events to highlight the action from the Deerfield Classic Friday, May 2.

Steele placed first in the 110 hurdles with a record time of 15.59 seconds.

Pardeeville's Pat Haynes won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 41.19 seconds.

It was Standiford, however, who did most of the damage for the Bulldogs, as he won the 100-meter and 200-meter dash as well as the long jump.

Pardeeville's boys placed eighth overall with 59 points, while Randolph-Cambria-Friesland took ninth as a team with 26 points.

Ryan Lehman placed third in the discus throw for Randolph-Cambria-Friesland.

On the girls side, Pardeeville's Samantha Bluske placed second in both the 1,600-meter and 3,200-meter runs, finishing second to Sugar River's Ashley Beutler.

Pardeeville's Aileen Maier won the triple jump with a distance of 34-feet, 5 inches.

Brittany Alsum was the top finisher for the Randolph-Cambria-Friesland girls, as she took second in the discus throw with a distance of 118-feet, 10 inches.

In the team race, Pardeeville finished fifth with 59 points while Randolph-Cambria-Friesland took eighth with 46 points.
