SOFTBALL ROUNDUP: Blue Jays beat up on Pardeeville
Johnson Creek swept a Southern Trailways Conference doubleheader against Pardeeville on Tuesday afternoon, beating the Bulldogs 10-0 and 12-0.
Johnson Creek's Stacy Draeger got the win in both games, including a five-inning no-hitter in the first game. In game two, Pardeeville was held to just two hits by Draeger and Kiara Lemminger.
Besides a lack of offense, the Bulldogs downfall came on defense, where they had five errors in each of the games.
"The errors killed us. I don't know if it was the fact that it was a double header, but our heads were not in the game and they showed it. The errors, they killed us," said Pardeeville head coach Heather Falkner.
Pardeeville catcher Kayle Curtis also got hurt in the opening game, moving infielder Brooke Hauge behind the plate for the second game. Falkner said the injury forced to her to move players around on defense, but did say Hauge did a good job of handling her catching duties.
