BASEBALL: Pardeeville wins fifth straight, Montello and Rio fall
Pardeeville scored eight runs in the second inning en route to an 11-6 victory over Fall River at Chandler Park in Pardeeville on Thursday. It was Pardeeville's fifth straight victory of the season, moving the Bulldogs to 2-0 in the Southern Trailways Conference.
The Bulldogs also got a strong pitching performance from senior Jonce Tolley, who gave up only two hits and zero walks, while striking out four in four scoreless innings of work.
"Tolley did an outstanding job. I think it was the best I've seen him pitch in his high school career," said Pardeeville head coach Bill Hebl. "He really was on. He only faced 14 batters."
