West Marion Street: Police on Monday at 11:53 p.m. responded to a reported domestic disturbance where a fight had broken out between a 27-year-old Portage man, his girlfriend and her sons. The man had allegedly broken the woman’s phone and her son’s headphones, throwing a birdfeeder at the 14-year-old before charging the boy and causing injury. The man was arrested on suspicion of physical abuse to a child, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and also taken into custody on a probation hold.
Walmart: Police on Thursday at 12:03 a.m. responded to a reported theft where Colin Coppens, 32, of Montello, was issued a city ordinance citation for attempting to leave the store without paying for four items totaling $48.79.
