Sharon L. Wilkinson, 71, of North Freedom, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Sauk Prairie Healthcare surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 30, 1946, in Columbus, the daughter of Elvin and Norma (Hernkind) Berger. On Aug. 20, 1966, she was married to Roger Wilkinson. Together they operated a dairy farm in the town of Honey Creek in Sauk County. Sharon enjoyed farm life which included working in her gardens and orchard. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and living her faith in the Lord.
Survivors include her husband, Roger; three sons, Lawrence (Tina) Wilkinson of Loganville, Gregory (Jackie) Wilkinson of North Freedom, and Dean (Amber) Wilkinson of Cambria; four grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Alyson and Erik; her brother, Robert (Susan) Berger of Humboldt, Nebraska; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Springs, with the Rev. David Karow officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom. There will be a visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg, and at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials to St. John Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
