Endeavor - Edward H. Henning, age 83 of Endeavor, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at the Veterans Hospital in Madison.
Ed was born on Sept. 4, 1926, in Ill, the son of Arthur and Anna (Kriehe) Henning. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Ed was united in marriage to Lila Perry. They enjoyed many wonderful years together. She preceded him in death. Ed was an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed the beauty of God's country.
His hobbies included gardening; and he was a terrific story teller. He will most be remembered for his love of family and the example he was.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, Sept. 3 at Smith Funeral Home in Pardeeville at 7 p.m., led by Sister Louis. Full military rites will be conducted by the Pardeeville American Legion and VFW Posts. Visitation for Ed Henning will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service. Private burial will be held at Hickory Union Cemetery, in Antioch, IL.
He is survived by his three children, Dawn (Jerry) Bush, Michelle Natoli, and John Henning; his grandchildren, Tyler and Russell Bush, Alexis Henning and Louis Natoli; brother, Arthur (Judy); and sister Anne Marie; other near relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, John.

The Smith Funeral Home in Pardeeville is serving the family.
