Farber graduates basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Cole A. Farber graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Cole Farber is the son of Courtney Stelter and Chase Farber, step-son of Andrew Stelter, and grandson of Edward and Marie Wagner and Dave and Patti Farber, all of Reedsburg, and a 2017 graduate of Reedsburg Area High School.

$4,500 in grants awarded

The Free Congregation of Sauk County has approved $4,575 grants from its second annual “Mission in Motion” initiative.

The recipients are Summer Outdoor Adventure Club and Bike Shop, $500; 6:8, $500; Kid’s Ranch, $500; Sauk Prairie Food Pantry, $300; Sauk County Conservation Network, $1,000; 21 scarves-Pala Guatemala, $525; Sauk Prairie School District Social Worker, $500; Puerto Rico hurricane relief, $750.
