The season came to an end for the Reedsburg gymnastics team on Feb. 22 when the Beavers traveled to Tomah to compete in a WIAA Div. 2 Sectional Meet.

Reedsburg finished the meet with a team score of 108.8, which was just above the team’s average score throughout this season. The score placed the Beavers fifth overall. Dodgeville/Mineral Point took the title (131.8), followed by Viroqua/Cashton (130.225), River Valley (115.725), Wesby (113.3), Reedsburg (108.8), Tomah (105.3), Prairie du Chien/Fennim (99.25), and Sparta (51.925).

The Beavers found success on the floor exercise, recording a 29.4. Senior Raegan Hyzer took 10th place in the event with a 7.825, while Raelle Bishop and Haley Asp took 18th (7.375) and 19th (7.275), respectively. Mai Klink led the team on the balance beam with an 11th place finish (7.55), while Asp tied for 15th (7.25). Reedsburg recorded a 27.7 in the event as a team.

On the vault, the Beavers posted a 30.0. Junior Sydney Womble led Reedsburg with a 7.75 to take 15th, while senior Brandi Imhoff along with Bishop tied for 24th with scores of 7.5. Sophomore Alicen Henke recorded a 7.25 while Jenna Bailey posted a 7.0. On the uneven bars, Reedsburg recorded a 21.7. Hyzer led the way with a 17th place finish (5.9), while Womble took 19th (5.7).
