Norman “Lefty” Lindloff, 90, of Reedsburg, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Reedsburg Township, Sauk County, the son of Walter and Genevieve (Hooseman) Lindloff. Norman was baptized and confirmed in his faith at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, where he remained an active member. On June 7, 1952, he was united in marriage to Catherine M. Meyer. This marriage was blessed with five children. Norman proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952-1954. After returning from active duty, Norm purchased the family farm. The farm was a place he truly loved to be, it was his hobby and center of attention. He was also employed at Wisconsin Dairies and Reedsburg Foods for several years.

Norman is survived by his wife Catherine; children, Janice Braun and her children, Katie (Matthew) Hansen, and their children, Reese and Riley; Tom (Valerie) Braun and their children, Tyler and Marty; Jean (Ken) Hasenmueller and their children, Jessica, Matthew, and Michael (Rebekah); Jim Lindloff (Erika) and his daughter Jamie, and son, Brandon (Ashley), and their children, Sophia and Olivia; Scott (Sue) Lindloff and their daughters, Samantha and Sarah; sister, Janet Mahr; and sister-in-law Lucille Bittner; along with many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Gerald; brothers, Robert (Betty), Louis (Catherine, Ruth), Elmer, Richard (Dorothy); brother-in-law Doug Mahr; and son-in-law Jeff Braun. Love you forever, the race is won, rest in peace.

Funeral services for Norman “Lefty” Lindloff will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Reedsburg, with Pastor Paul Crolius officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
