Emma Judd, 91, Published October 14, 2009
Emma Judd, 91 of Loganville, passed away on Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 6, 1918, in Seven Mile Creek Township, Juneau County, the daughter of Herman and Minnie (Doro) Nemitz. Emma was united in marriage to Everett Judd. This marriage was blessed with 12 children. Everett preceded her in death on August 25, 1952. Emma enjoyed gardening and bird watching.
Emma was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Steven, Melvin and Eugene Judd; daughter Edna Mae Peper; grandsons, Dean Judd and Gary Faber; sons-in-law, Leonhard Peper and Robert Berger; brothers, Reinhold, Ernest, Harry Nemitz and one brother in infancy; sisters, Lydia and Bertha Nemitz.
She is survived by her children, Bernadine (Jack) Weldy of Reedsburg, LeRoy (Trudy) Judd of Loganville, Sally (Wayne) Luther of Reedsburg, Hank (Sue) Judd of Sauk City, Linda (Don) Ritzenthaler of Reedsburg, Janet (Mike) Faber of Baraboo, Harley (Jeanette) Judd of Reedsburg, Butch Judd of Loganville; 31 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 25 great great grandchildren; brother, Rubin (Veronica) Nemitz of Broadhead; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Nemitz of Reedsburg and Helen Berndt of Reedsburg; companion, Ivan Hooker of Loganville; several nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Emma Judd were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Christopher Miller officiating. Burial followed in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends called on Sunday at the Farber Funeral Home and on Monday until the time of the service at the church.
Memorials of remembrance may be made to St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, Loganville.
