Robert W. Fisher, 91, Published October 24, 2009

Robert William Fisher, 91 formerly of Cazenovia, was born on Jan. 31, 1918, in Cazenovia to William and Belle Fisher, and he entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2009.

Robert Fisher honorably served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise A. Fisher, and brother-in-law, Walter S. Mortimer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sofia Noy Mata-Fisher; children, William F. (Rosemary) Fisher, Robert A. (Joanne) Fisher and Denise F. (Raul) Cardenas; grandchildren, Christine, Marcus, Ryan, Aaron, Alex and Lorena; sister, Genevive Mortimer; and nieces, Connie French and Susan (Carroll) Hays.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VITAS Hospice.

Interment was held on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at Cavalry Catholic Cemetery in Laredo, Texas.
