Little League Results
REEDSBURG—Hoof Funeral Home played against Prell Eye Care on June 17 at Ramsey Park.
Andrew Sauer and Noah Michel connected for doubles in the game. Nathan Kruser made a catch in centerfield and then the throw to Cody Ryczek at second base for the double play. Jon Zobel made a great scoop at the pitcher's mound, followed by an awesome catch by Dayne Rothwell at first for the out. Nicholas Crary was busy at second base in the third inning, fielding the ball and making the plays. Also knocking down the ball were Adam and Jake Hilgendorf, Alex Rathman and Ben Horzewski.
Hoof vs. Prell, Part II
Another season has come to a close for Hoof Funeral Home as it played its last AAA game against Prell Eye Care. Ben Horzewski and Dayne Rothwell were hot in the batter's box going 4-for-4 on the night with 3 RBIs each. Nathan Kruser was able to connect for a home run over the fence in the bottom of the second. Andrew Sauer and Nicholas Crary had hits deep into the outfield. Jacob Hilgendorf and Cody Ryczek had doubles. Jon Zobel caught a line drive at shortstop. Noah Michel hustled in left field to get the ball in to make the plays. Alex Rathman and Adam Holgendorf were busy in the infield knocking the ball down.
Associated vs. Schulz
Associated Bank took on Schulz Chevrolet on June 17.
The game started out slowly, with many hits from the opposing team. Brady Fry got a base hit every time at bat, including a home run. Hayden Hahn hit a home run as well, and Mason McMillen and Wayde Ernstmeyer both hit doubles. Matthew Kohlmeyer made some great catches at first base and Tom Koenig played an aggressive catcher position. Spencer Reinecke at shortstop and Brady Rufenacht at second base connected several times for outs. Alex Hull, Logan Judd and Cole Vertein were kept busy in the outfield.
Associated vs. RAMC
On June 19, Associated Bank challenged Reedsburg Area Medical Center.
The opposing team was short of players but was still able to have a great time. Associated Bank had some good hitting going, with Wayde Ernstmeyer, Brady Fry, Tom Koenig and Matthew Kohlmeyer all getting base hits each time at bat. Wayde Ernstmeyer, Hayden Hahn and Logan Judd all hit home runs, with Judd actually getting two for the night. Mason McMillen, Brady Fry and Brady Rufenacht hit doubles. Spencer Reinecke did a great job at shortstop and Alex Hull and Cole Vertein played well in the outfield.
The positions were switched around during the game, and Tom Koenig was playing the pitcher position when he got hit in the face with a ball and suffered a bloody nose. The game was stopped for awhile and then after the third inning everyone left, not playing out the fourth inning. It was pizza night for the Associated Bank team, so perhaps they were excited to start eating.
Associated vs. Prell
On June 23 it was Associated Bank vs. Prell Eye Care.
The game was a close contest. Tom Koenig, Brady Fry and Alex Hull all had base hits each time at bat, with Hull getting an infield home run. Hayden Hahn hit a grand slam home run in the fourth inning and Wayde Ernstmeyer and Mathews Kohlmeyer both hit doubles. Spencer Reinecke at shortstop made several plays at second and third base for the out, and Logan Judd played well at leftfield, backing up third base several times.
