Rosholt throws no-hitter in HTL action

REEDSBURG—The Reedsburg Pirates hammered out 10 hits and 11 runs as they hammered Plain 11-1 Tuesday night.
Also, Reedsburg starter Kris Rosholt tossed a no-hitter against Plain as the Pirates improved to 11-2.
Rosholt allowed just one run and struck out 13 in seven innings, with the run coming in the second inning when Jason Tainter reached on an error and later scored as the Pirates committed two more errors in the inning.
Reedsburg took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first and then scored in every inning after that with leadoff hitter Travis Van Zile scoring four runs in the game and Paul Molitor and James Corwith each scoring twice.
After giving up the one run in the second Rosholt was also 2x4 at the plate with three RBIs, Brandon Peyer had four RBIs with a 2x3 effort and Paul Molitor also had four RBIs in the game, going 2x2.
The Pirates have a huge game Sunday when they travel to Sauk to take on the first place Twins.
