Swim Reedsburg offering new classes

Swim Reedsburg is offering two new classes — yoga and belly dancing.

Yoga will be on Monday evenings at 6:15 p.m. starting Sept. 8 and will be a nine week class costing $72.

Belly dancing will be on Saturday evenings at 6:15 p.m. starting on Sept. 13 and will be a six week class costing $48.

Both classes are 45 minutes in length and are geared for beginners. However, all abilities are welcome. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes!

Also, Swim Reedsburg is holding its Summer Olympics Aug. 15 through 17. There will be a mini-triathlon, decathlon, crazy boat races, swimming events, volleyball, water volleyball and water polo. Registration needs to be received by Wednesday, Aug. 13 in order to participate. It will cost $5 per individual and $7 per team for the decathlon, boat races and swimming events. The volleyball, water volleyball and water polo are $12 per team.

Disabled hunt at            Fort McCoy

Fort McCoy again will sponsor an annual deer hunt for disabled persons.

Disabled hunters still have time to apply for the Oct. 4-5 special hunt but are encouraged not to wait too long as the application deadline of Aug. 25 is fast approaching.

Individuals participating in this hunt must possess a Class A or Class C Permit issued by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and a valid State of Wisconsin Deer Gun License. Questions can be directed to the Fort McCoy Permit Sales Office at (608) 388-3337.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications received after the Aug. 25 deadline will be returned.
