Author Kathleen Ernst to visit Sauk library

Ruth Culver Community Library, 540 Water St. in Prairie du Sac, will host Kathleen Ernst, author of the award-winning Wisconsin-based series Chloe Ellefson Historic Sites mysteries, at 7 p.m. Wednesday. She will also present an American Girl Fans program for young readers at 4 p.m.

She will discuss her years at the Old World Wisconsin Museum and how it influenced the characters and how she researches and writes the Chloe mysteries.

At 4 p.m. she will discuss her American Girl books including her newest book, “Gunpowder and Tea Cakes: My Journey With Felicity,” and other mysteries. Guests are invited to bring their dolls.

Both events are free and open to the public. Each hour-long event will have time for questions, door prize giveaways and book signings with books available for purchase.
