Sauk Prairie Triangular

The Sauk Prairie boys tennis team was perfect on Saturday, sweeping to a pair of dual wins at the Sauk Prairie Triangular.

The Eagles opened the day with a 7-0 sweep of Badger North Conference rival Reedsburg.

Sauk Prairie dropped one game in doubles play, as Parker Chrisler and Kelby Mack notched a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, Max Wilkinson and Dakota Pickhard recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles, and Sam Humbracht and Jake Guentherman earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles.

Noah Wankerl cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Alex Kinnamon pulled out a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles and Chris Leatherberry grabbed a 7-6 (2), 7-5 win at No. 4 singles. Tarren Nimmow dropped the first set at No. 2 singles before coming back for a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win.

Sauk Prairie didn't drop a set in Saturday's 7-0 sweep of Black River Falls.

Wankerl and Nimmow swept to 6-0, 6-0 wins, while Kinnamon pulled out a 6-0, 6-3 win and Leatherberry notched a 6-1, 6-1 win.

It was the same story in doubles, as Chrisler and Mack recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win, Wilkinson and Pickhard earned a 6-0, 6-0 win and Humbracht and Guentherman notched a 6-2, 6-2 win.

Madison La Follette 5, Sauk Prairie 2

Sauk Prairie dropped a 5-2 non-conference match at Madison La Follette on Tuesday.

The Eagles took two out of three doubles matches, but they were swept in singles play.

Chrisler and Mack swept to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, while Wilkinson and Pickhard rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles.

The Eagles will compete in the Badger Conference tournament on Friday and Saturday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison. Sauk Prairie will return to Nielsen on Monday for the WIAA Division 2 subsectionals.
