The Sauk Prairie co-op boys swim team always gets up for the Verona/Mount Horeb rivalry.

Sauk Prairie put it all together on Dec. 19, winning nine of the 11 events en route to a 100-70 win over Verona/Mount Horeb in a non-conference dual meet at Lodi High School.

Sauk Prairie swept the relays on the way to beating their former Badger Conference rivals for the second straight year.

The quartet of Jake Guentherman, Allan Brickl, Reese Drager and Ben Chao touched the wall in 1 minute, 43.21 seconds to beat Verona/Mount Horeb (1:50.73) by more than seven seconds in the 200-yard medley relay.

The 200-yard freestyle relay was closer, but Ayden Frey, Brickl, Chao and Desmon Sachtjen used a time of 1:31.59 to top Verona/Mount Horeb (1:32.50).

Drager, Frey, Guentherman and Sachtjen won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:22.44, while Verona/Mount Horeb took second in 3:24.86.

Guentherman and Sachtjen each took first in a pair of individual events. Guentherman won the 200-yard individual medley (2:05.67) and the 100-yard backstroke (:58.32), while Sachtjen claimed the 200 freestyle (1:50.92) and the 500 freestyle (4:59.14).

Brickl added a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.57), while Logan Perry (1:08.75) took third and Slater Fitzgerald (1:09.82) finished fourth in the event.

Frey (:53.94) and Drager (:57.04) took first and second, respectively, in the 100 butterfly. Drager was also the runner-up in the 200 individual medley (2:10.32).

Shane Rozeboom notched both of Verona/Mount Horeb's first-place finishes, winning a pair of freestyle events. Rozeboom used a time of 22.02 seconds to out-touch Chao (:22.69) and Brickl (:23.80) in the 50 freestyle. In the 100 freestyle, Rozeboom (:49.00) beat out the Sauk Prairie trio of Chao (:51.38), Payton Fandrich (:54.18) and Sam Beattie (:55.79).

Sauk Prairie will host a six-team invitational at Sauk Prairie High School on Saturday before returning to Badger North Conference dual action at Baraboo on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
