The Blood Drive Sept. 18, sponsored by Friends of Sauk Prairie Healthcare was very successful surpassing again the quota set by the Red Cross. A note of appreciation is extended to all who helped make it so. Special thanks to GraceWay Church for providing a place for the Drive, to the ladies of the Blackhawk United Methodist Church for the delicious array of baked treats for all blood donors and for staffing the kitchen, to all the volunteers who helped in the canteen, in the donor areas and with registration, and to the Sauk City Firemen who helped with take down and loading the Red Cross equipment. And, of course, a special note of gratitude goes to all the donors who took time from busy schedules to donate blood. Your precious gift of blood will help to save many lives. Our next blood drive will take place Monday, Dec. 18. Mark your calendars now.
