• Sauk Prairie Police Commission, at 6 p.m. • EAA Chapter 1713, at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 • Town of West Point, at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 • Sauk Prairie School Board, at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 • Civil Air Patrol 196, at 7 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Baraboo. Sept. 16 • Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce, at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 17 • Kuoni-Reuter American Legion Post 167, at 7:30 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ in Sauk City. Sept. 19 • Harrisburg Historical Society, at 1:30 p.m. at the Town of Troy Hall, County Highway C in Black Hawk. Items of discussion are: Election of officers and a determination of remaining affiliated with the Sauk County Historical Society. The renovated Harrisburg School will be open after the meeting for viewing. Community Events Sept. 10 to 12 • Sauk City resident Judy Hasheider will teach a workshop titled • First Presbyterian Church will host a brat stand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 11 to 13 in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot in Sauk City. Sept. 12 and Oct. 4 • The Ecumenical community in Merrimac will have a Merrimac Market on the west side of the Ferry line on Highway 113 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 12 sponsored by Immanuel Lutheran Church of Merrimac. The proceeds from this day will be split between Immanuel and the village of Merrimac with supplemental funds being provided from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The third event will be from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 sponsored by the United Methodist Church of Merrimac. Proceeds from this event will go to projects at the church. At all events, there will be donations taken to benefit the Merrimac Ecumenical Crisis Clergy Fund and food pantry. Sept. 12 • The Sauk Prairie Community Safety Coalition will host a car and booster seat check and installation at Ballweg Chevrolet/Pontiac in Sauk City from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 12. A certified car seat installer will be on hand to help parents, grandparents and friends. Sept. 13 • A local Girl Scouts group will have a sign up and swim party from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Sauk Prairie High School pool in Prairie du Sac. Sept. 14 • Sauk Prairie area blood drive is from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Evangelical Free Church. To make an appointment, call 800-448-3543. Walkins are welcome. Sept. 15 • The Sauk Prairie Optimist Club and Boy Scout Troop No. 74 members are sponsoring a sauerkraut supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Sauk Prairie Community Center in Sauk City. The cost is $8, adults, $6 children ages 3 to 12 and children under 3 are free. The menu consists of sauerkraut, kielbasa sausage, hot dogs, mashed potatoes, corn, bread, cake and a beverage. Tickets are available at the door and from Optimist and Boy Scout Troop No. 74 members. Carry outs are available. Sept. 15 to Nov. 15
