Annual light parade is Dec. 6

The Sauk Prairie area annual light parade is at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 sponsored by the villages of Sauk City and Prairie du Sac and the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce.

The electric light parade is a traveling light show that travels throughout Sauk City and Prairie du Sac.

According to a press release submitted by the village of Sauk City, this year one business with the best decorated vehicle will receive the traveling trophy along with a $50 chamber gift certificate. The best non-profit decorated vehicle will receive a $50 chamber gift certificate also.

There is no entry fee required. The parade will begin in the 900 Block of Water Street in Sauk City and continue through Prairie du Sac to County Highway PF. The parade will then travel west to 13th Street and continue south past Maplewood Nursing Home before turning west on Hemlock Street and traveling past Maplewood Village before disbanding on Lueders Road.

Registration forms can be found on the Prairie du Sac Village Web site at www.prairiedusac.net, Village of Sauk City Web site at www.saukcity.net, and the Sauk Prairie Area  Chamber of Commerce Web site of www.saukprairie.com  Deadline to register is Nov. 24.

Forms can be mailed or dropped off at the Sauk City Village Hall, 726 Water St., Sauk City, WI 53583.

The sponsors recommend spectators stand on the east side of Water Street and the north side of PF for the best view of the parade.
