FFA travels to nationals in Indiana
Sauk Prairie FFA members traveled to Indianapolis, Ind. for the 81st National FFA Convention.
According to the press release submitted by the FFA, throughout the four-day celebration FFA member’s experienced speakers, emotional retiring addresses, a jam-packed career show, tours (including Cabelas, Chicago Botanical Gardens, Not Just Popcorn factory, and a ghost tour) and more.
As a chapter, Sauk Prairie FFA was recognized as a “Three-Star Chapter” for its National Chapter Program. This award program recognizes the chapter as one of the premiere chapter’s in the nation.
Towards the end of the convention Steven Bare and Brittany Sorg received the highest degree honor, the American FFA Degree. According to the press release, they received a gold American FFA Degree key, wallet identification card and a certificate to commemorate the achievement. They received their degree on stage in the Lucas Oil Stadium.
The national FFA convention is the nation’s largest youth gathering, welcoming students, parents and educators from all across the United States.
FFA is a national youth organization of 506,199 student members preparing for leadership careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture with 7,429 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
