Endres celebrate 55th wedding anniversary

Orville and Mary (Koenig) Endres celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Oct. 18 with a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Roxbury with their family.

They were married at the age of 31 on Oct. 22, 1953 during a Nuptial High Mass at St. James Parish in Madison with Msgr. Koelzer officiating.

Orville and Mary settled on a farm near Roxbury and went on to have nine children, Ralph (Mary) Endres, Elaine (Mark) Shimniok, Gerald (Diane) Endres, Leon Endres, Diane (Greg) Wipperfurth, Jo Ann Endres, Arlene (Gary) Michel, Lester (Diane) Endres and the late Dolores Endres. They also had 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The couple now reside at the Pines Assisted Living in Prairie du Sac.
