Margaret Fraser Davies, 72, of Chippewa Falls/Mazomanie, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.

Mrs. Davies was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Edinburgh, Scotland, the daughter of Alfred L. and Elizabeth (Drummond) Hall. She and her mother immigrated to the United States in 1956, living in the Chicago area. She met Norman Davies there, and they were married June 11, 1960. They were together until his passing in December 2005.

Mrs. Davies was a dietary aide at Greenway Manor in Spring Green prior to retiring in 2003 and moving to northern Wisconsin. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and engaging laughter, her unfailing generosity and never-ending selflessness.

Mrs. Davies is survived by her son, Jeff (Rose), of Sauk City; a daughter, Joanne (Dan) Gilles, of Chippewa Falls; a brother, Douglas (Susan) Hall, of Elmhurst, Ill.; grandchildren, Jeff Davies Jr., Zach and Grace Gilles; a great- granddaughter, Olivia Davies; and her beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Also many countless friends throughout her lifetime, some old, some new, in the United States and Scotland.
