Cathryn Joy "Cathy" Borman, 67, Mazomanie - Published October 8, 2008

Cathryn Joy "Cathy" Borman, 67, Mazomanie, died suddenly on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2008.

Mrs. Borman was born at her parents home in Mazomanie on Nov. 15, 1940, the daughter of the late Verne and Gladys (Heald) Lawler. She attended the Mazomanie School District, graduating in 1958. She met her husband Tom at the St. Barnabas Parish Picnic on July 16, 1961 and was married in St. Barnabas Catholic Church on Feb. 10, 1962.

Mrs. Borman was a member of St. Barnabas Parish, the Altar Society, Greening-Buelow Auxiliary Unit 437, Dane County ALA, Dane County Cabane 683, Past Grande Presidente of Cabane du Wisconsin, Past Sous Presidente Nationale, Mazomanie Historical Society, Mazomanie High School Alumni where she served as secretary for more than 35 years.

Mrs. Borman loved to travel which they did as a family throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. She was an avid sports fan, loved the Packers, Brewers, UW football, basketball and hockey.  She was part of the grandparents window section at the Sauk Prairie Hockey rink where she watched her grandsons play. She  was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and sister-in-law. She was always there for her family and extremely proud of her family.

Mrs. Borman is survived by three children, Erin (Thomas) Stoeger, of Manitowoc, Theresa (Joel) Bradley, of Sauk City and Andrew of New Lisbon; eight grandchildren, Scott (Kellie) Stoeger, Bridget (John Dollar) Bradley, Christopher Stoeger, Paul Bradley, Katie Stoeger, David Bradley, Alexander Borman and Hannah Borman; four brothers, Douglas Lawler, Robert (Shari) Lawler, Donald (Ruth) Lawler and Lyndon (Barb) Lawler; her in-laws, Michael (Janet) Borman, Eugene (Loretta) Borman, Robert Borman and Catherine Orth; a aunt,  Marjorie Fease and her extended family, Betty Pailing and her sons, Dick, Bob and Bill. Many devoted nieces and nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Tom on Sept. 9; her beautiful infant grandson,  Timothy Stoeger; her infant sister, Elizabeth; a brother, Gayle Lawler; sister-in-law, Myrna Lawler; infant niece, Hannah Lawler; a nephew, Mitchell Lawler and in-laws, Mary and Cecil Borman and Bill and Beverly Borman.

A Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Mazomnie Oct. 4 with Fr. John DelPriore officiating.  Burial was in the St. Barnabas Cemetery.
