Andrew M. Brunner, 87, of Black Earth - Published October 15, 2008

Andrew M. Brunner, 87, of Black Earth, died on Friday Oct. 10, 2008 at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth.

Mr. Brunner was born in Dodgeville on June 4, 1921. He married Lucille Statz on Sept. 14, 1943. He was a proud veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Army. He was member of the Black Earth American Legion Post 313 and St. Barnabas Catholic Church.

Mr. Brunner is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille; his children, Thomas (Marlene), of Martinsville, Robert (Kathy Manteufel), of Sauk City, Ronald (Donna), of Cross Plains, Steve (Barbara), of Cross Plains, Larry (Jane), of Black Earth, Susan (Paul) Brunner, of Cross Plains, Jane (Dave) Burnheimer, of Mt. Horeb, Lois (Phil) Reynolds, of Madison, Bill (Pam), of Black Earth, Paul (Judy), of Black Earth, Dennis (Sheri), of Black Earth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Ritamarie Plemons and Joan (Dick) Friend; sisters in-law, Arlene and Thelma Brunner and Milly Osborne.

He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Anna Brunner; brothers, Fred, Ael, and Roger Brunner; sisters, Sr. Luka Brunner, Mary Plemmons and Celine Statz; brothers-in-law, Hilary Statz and Jack Plemons; a grandson, Bobby Brunner and a great-grandson, Brayden Brunner.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 14 at the St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Mazomanie, with Fr. John Delpriore officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
