LaVern C. Meyer, 87, of Hillpoint - Published October 22, 2008

LaVern C. Meyer, 87, of Hillpoint, died on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008.  

Mr. Meyer was the son of Arthur and Elsa (Hanusa) Meyer. He was born on Nov. 11, 1920 near Hillpoint in rural Sauk County. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Loganville.  

 Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, Rozelle; a son, Neil (Yasuko); a daughter, Nona; a sister, Lanette Simonds and two grandsons, Saul and Seth Hedquist. He is also survived by his step-son,  Steven Lukenbach (Judy);  step-daughter, Kathryn Lukenbach (Marcie) and step-grandsons, Max and Sam Lukenbach.  

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and first wife, LaVona (Hilgendorf) Meyer.

A memorial service was Oct. 21 at the Midvale Community Lutheran Church in Madison.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Adult Day Health Center in Madison.
