Victor Lloyd Ramsey, 85, of Sauk City - Published November 12, 2008

Victor Lloyd Ramsey, 85, of Sauk City, died on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Ramsey was born in Baraboo on Feb. 16, 1923, the son of the late Robert William and Nora Mary (Washburn) Ramsey, Jr.  Victor, a bachelor, was a small, quiet man with a giant sense of humor. He was employed by Cutler-Hammer in Milwaukee for several years before returning to Baraboo to work for Baraboo Equipment. He also worked several part-time jobs and traveled many times to Tucson, Ariz.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by a sister, Genevieve Ramsey, of Dousman; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Bayles; six brothers, Lee Foster, Ralleigh, Richard, Charles, Perry and Raymond Ramsey; two brothers-in-law, Eugene Bayles and James Girling; four sisters-in-law, Virginia (Dempsey), Geneva (Powell), Frances (Bayles) and Marcella (Wiese) Ramsey.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
