The Sauk Prairie golf team tied Waunakee for the fifth spot at the Wild Rock Invitational with the top four performers returning a total score of 332.
Reedsburg won the match, which featured 13 teams, with a score of 315.
Eagles coach Tim Marshall said he was pleased with the performances, especially since two senior golfers were missing from his squad to take advanced placement tests.
Connor Starr and Aaron Lang did not attend the meet and Casey Schroeder, Chad Breunig and Brett Jonas filled in.
"We had three guys who played their first 18-hole invitational match," Marshall said. "For three new guys on a new course, I think they did pretty well."
Schroeder and Breunig both turned in top-4 scores for the Eagles with an 85 and 86, respectively.
Kevin Clifford scored an 80 and Travis Schwarz returned an 81.
Reedsburg 151,
Sauk Prairie 175
The undefeated Beavers continued their winning ways with a victory over the Eagles at home May 6.
Marshall said the team's score of 175 is "in the neighborhood of where we usually are."
He said Reedsburg is the best team in the league and a tough team to beat on its home course.
"I would have preferred our score was under 170," he said.
Even with an improved score from his team, Marshall said it is unlikely the team could have come in under the 151 posted by the Beavers.
"They are flat-out a better golf team than we are right now," he said.
